Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737-800 Paper Model

E-mail Print

PK-GFD is serving an international route in Garuda Indonesia, it uses Boeing 737-8U3 Next Generation aircraft. It first flight was almost 6 years ago on July 9, 2010. The model is not a complete recolor from the previous livery, I also edited all the windows and doors. The scale of the model is about 1:100. When in complete it will have 36 cm or 14 inches of wingspan. The template consist of 5 pages of patterns, which are 4 pages to be printed using 100 gram paper and 1 pages for formers and glue tabs. You can use cardboard for the formers. I also created an RC model version of this airliner model using foam sheet for the material in 1:25 scale. You can watch how it fly on , my youtube video

War Rig Part 2 (Tanker) Papercraft

E-mail Print

This is the part 2 for the tanker on Mad Max Fury Road War Rig paper model. When it finished it will have about 1 meter in length from the semi truck to the second smaller tanker. I never build it yet, but I imagine that the hardest part will be making all the wheels. There are plenty wheels needed to build. I made this template as easy as possible, but still there are some part that cannot be simplified enough, like the tanker's ribs. The template consist of 33 pages and use two type of paper, ordinary 100-160 gram plain paper and 2 mm thick cardboard or hardboard.

KLM MD-11 Papercraft

E-mail Print

A new line for airliner category has been added, it is a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 model. It was designed and built based on DC-10 with three engines configuration, and was manufactured by McDonnell Douglas and continued by Boeing. I choose a KLM livery for the first papermodel release because KLM was the last airlines that ever used MD-11 as a passenger planes. All passenger MD-11 now already grounded, the last one was PH-KCE and also named as "Audrey Hepburn".You can see the name Audrey written just below the cockpit window. PH-KCE last flight was on November 11, 2014 after 21 years in service. The papercraft template consist of 10 pages, when it built it will have 51 cm or 19.7 inches length wingspan. The scale is 1:100.

Star Wars VII BB-8 Droid Papercraft

E-mail Print

This is a model of a new droid in Star Wars universe, it first appears in Episode VII : The Force Awakens (2015). When I see the first trailer of the movie which this ball like droid appears, I want to make it but the complexity of the sphere curve made me to put a side that project for a while. It's hard to make an easy template but still looks good, until our friend Fidel Olmos Aaron from Venezuela send me his template of BB-8 droid to me. The 2 sheets template is in PDF and PDO which also the assembly instructions. The scale of this model is 1:6 according to Fidel.

First Order Stormtrooper Wearable Helmet Papercraft

E-mail Print

There are some requests for wearable new stormtrooper helmet, the First Order one. I know someone already made it, and the template already around on the net, but with the release of the 1/6 papercraft figure, I think why not I enlarge the head alone into wearable helmet. At first I send the enlarged template to 3 of my friends in Peri Facebook group to be built as test build. The result was everything looked good just need a little bit adjustment on the texture alignment on a part. The template for test build was originally in A3 format (6 pages), but for the release version I break some of the parts to fit into A4 paper (9 pages). You can use assembly instruction from heavy stormtrooper. The helmet it's not exactly 1:1, because I enlarge it 5 times instead of 6 times. So here it is, you can build it for Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens premiere :D.
