ARC-170 Clone War version Paper Model

E-mail Print

In support of Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Battle of Coruscant, the two Jedi are escorted by a squadron of ARC-170 fighters (aggressive reconnaissance fighters). Absolutely loyal to the Republic, the clone pilots have the mission of diverting the Trade Federations fighters and clearing the way for the Jedi. With the inbred obedience that they received in the Kaminoan breeding station, these brave fighters voluntarily sacrifice themselves, so that the Jedi can fulfill their mission. However, the clone pilots also have access to the skills of the bounty hunter Jango Fett and place themselves in the path of the enemy undaunted by death. The reconnaissance fighter has a class 1.5 hyperdrive and carries torpedoes and laser cannons. It is therefore less manoeuvrable than the Jedi Starfighter and the fate of the ARC-170 is decided solely by the know-how of the three-man crew..[revell]

WALL-E (promoted with an interpunct as WALL·E) is a 2008 computer-animated science fiction film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. The film was directed by Andrew Stanton. It follows the story of a robot named WALL-E who is designed to clean up a polluted Earth. He eventually falls in love with another robot named EVE, and follows her into outer space on an adventure.

After directing Finding Nemo, Stanton felt Pixar had created believable simulations of underwater physics and was willing to direct a film set in space. Most of the characters do not have actual human voices, but instead communicate with body language and robotic sounds, designed by Ben Burtt, that resemble voices. In addition, it is the first animated feature by Pixar to have segments featuring live action characters.

Walt Disney Pictures released it in the United States and Canada on June 27, 2008. The film grossed $23.1 million on its opening day, and $63 million during its opening weekend in 3,992 theaters, ranking #1 at the box office. This ranks the third highest-grossing opening weekend for a Pixar film as of July 2008. Following Pixar tradition, WALL-E was paired with a short film (Presto) for its theatrical release. It has achieved highly positive reviews with an approval rating of 96% on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. [wikipedia]

BURN-E (promoted with an interpunct as BURN·E) is a short film by Pixar Animation Studios based on the movie WALL-E that is attached to the movie's DVD and Blu-ray release on November 18, 2008.

The short film, directed by WALL-E lead animator Angus MacLane, was produced at the same time as WALL-E, and is included as bonus material to the DVD and Blu-ray release. BURN-E features music composed and conducted by J.A.C. Redford, who was also orchestrator on the film WALL-E.

The short film is based on a character who was briefly seen when WALL-E and EVE fly around the Axiom starliner, and enter through a door, locking a welder robot outside of the ship. This character is a robot named BURN-E, who is seen banging his fists against the door, and ultimately realizing that he has been locked out. [Wikipedia]
