E-mail Print

The paper model  template was designed by Wong Hidayat and test built by Anjar. I first noticed Wong posted his work on Mr. Bean car in PERI Facebook group. Mr. Bean's car is a British Leyland Mini 1000. Wong never release the car until now when he added Mr. Bean figure on top of the car depicting one of Mr. Bean's episode "Do it yourself Mr. Bean". The episode shows Mr. Bean is buying a lot of stuff for the house including wall paint cans, an armchair, broom and many others that are put inside Mr. Bean's car. The car is fully filled with stuff but he got a brilliant idea to take all the stuff in the car back to home. It looks like this episode is happen before Christmas, because I remember after Christmas and new years party when he blows up the paint can to color his room white.

Sub Urban and Fantasy Medieval Town Paper Craft

E-mail Print

New releases from hobikitkertas, model buildings from sub-urban theme and medieval fantasy theme. These are actually the collaboration project for a paper craft book of Cerebrave and Kentutmania (Rauf Raphanus). The book was cancelled so they share the template with us.  The scale for all the models are the same so you can mix them. The Sub-urban theme (hobikitkertas named it with Urban neighborhood) is a complete set with roads, trees, cars and house fences. The Medieval town theme is comprise with fortification wall, various building types, towers and castle, Cerebrave named this set as Fantasy : Human Castle. It makes me wonder, perhaps he will make an alien or an orc town as well. Each theme has several buildings set and accessories to form a small town. There will be more theme coming out as hobikitkertas stated to me, so keep an eye on that site.

Built AC-130U Spooky Gunship Paper Model (Photos)

E-mail Print

in the past few days, I did not work in front of computer. Doctor advised me to rest my eyes for eye fatigue. I use the time to assemble paper craft. I managed to make paper toys below, and one Hercules gunship, AC-130U Spooky. I created this spooky within 3 days. I use inkjet paper 108 grams and PVAc glue. I divide the time by doing only two part in 15 minutes then stop and then resume again at another time for 15 minutes, and so on. I did it to avoid boredom, because I did not assemble paper model for quite a long time. I've added these photos in the Paper Replika Gallery.

Merry-Go-Round Airplane Toy : Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden Paper Craft

E-mail Print

It is still warm, just released by cerebrave (Arif Suseno) from hobikitkertas.com. He created a simple Kawanishi N1K2 J Shiden paper aircraft model template. Shiden was a Japanese Naval fighter aircraft, also recognized as "George" by US/Allied  force during War War II. Cerebrave specially designed this model to be played as a merry-go-round airplane toy. You can see on the first page on its template there is a motor case to place a small electric motor to power the plane forward. It also needs a wire attached to the ceiling to play it, the idea is the plane should move forward by the thrust of the propeller powered by a small electric motor while the wire will keep the plane circle around and the wing will have lift to make it "fly". I have it when I was a kid, but it was a plastic plane, I never try it with paper, good idea!
