Because of so many questions from beginners about paper type to use for paper modeling so I try to explain it in this article. The fact is, there is no such special paper for paper model. You can use any kind of paper that available on you, however every paper type has its own plus and minus. When you are going to make a paper model you should know the size of the built model, large size will need more thicker paper than the smaller one. Also there are some paper that can be printed with home printer (inkjet printer) but some don't, it must be printed with laser, offset printer or digital printing.
Life Size RPG-7 Launcher Paper Model
This model is a request from Paper Replika new Facebook group, Paper Replika Friends. On that group you can discuss about every model made by Paper Replika and also you can make suggestion or request of model that you like and want to be made as paper model pattern. Every request will still filter by me, and only approved requests will be made. This RPG-7 paper model template contains 30 pages of patterns. The scale is 1:1, so I also made its inner construction. The warhead can be detach but with simplified model. I recommend to use 200 gsm paper and thicker for its inner constructions. This Soviet portable unguided rocket missile is very popular heavy weapon among armed forces in many countries. Some countries copied its design or reproduce under license.
Gubee Crawler - Lika Adventure Paper Craft
I have tank fever now, so I made this Gubee Crawler. It is an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) that belongs to Lika, a cute little girl who is a Paper Replika mascot. With this template I also want to introduce another Paper Replika mascot, Lika's little brother, his name is Rep. Rep is a newbie in Lika's adventures, so he is not allowed to control the vehicle and let his sister took control. Beside all terrain, this vehicle is also amphibious, it can swim. The template contains 3 pages of pattern, with relatively easy parts to assemble.
Tree House : Watcher Type
Back to building model again. Since I was a kid, I always dream to have a tree house. I like to climb trees back then. I would build one now if I have a tree in my backyard, but sadly there is not one big tree there, even more sadly I don't have a backyard in my house, lol. I like to see a big tree, especially the one with small leaves, and I like to imagine if there is a tree house up there, would be so cool. I recently watch a TV program titled "Tree House Master" on Discovery World channel. I love that show and then I try to make 1:100 miniature, but exclude the tree, just the house. So here it is a simple but quite tiny template. It has only 1 page of pattern.
Jaeger Striker Eureka Paper Craft Part 3 (Final)
Finally the final part is released, this part is for Striker Eureka hips and both legs. This part also has the most pages compare to the previous parts, it has 29 pages. The segments are pretty big in size, almost without small segments. There are no joint here because it was planned as a paper statue. I have not tested to standing yet, but I have calculate that both legs will be able to support and will be quite balance. But if I am wrong you can add a square cardboard as its base and glue both feet on to it, it will support the whole body of this Australian Jaeger model.
