Boeing 777-200 Malaysia Airlines Paper Model

E-mail Print

Continuing the series of Boeing triple seven models, this time I made a Boeing 777-200 template from Malaysian government-owned airline, Malaysia Airlines. This model is also a tribute to the victims of the plane that is still the mysterious its whereabouts. Not as I suppose, after often read the news about the MH370 flight, none of the Mh370 number printed on the airframe. Not much news agency were stating the aircraft registration number, 9M-MRO, but often informed simply by the flight number, MH370. B777-200 was the initial version before the 300 series that I have the previously release. 200 series fuselage is more than 10 meters shorter and without the swept wing tip as the 300 series. 200 series  is 63.7 meters and series 300 is 73.9 cm.  I cut the 300 fuselage, before the wing and after the wing. This model also with different engines, it used Rolls Royce engine. While in the previous release 300 series use General Electric engine.

Sobek - Ancient Egypt God Papercraft

E-mail Print

This is the fourth god to be added to the god and goddess of ancient Egypt paper craft collection. Sobek is a Nile river god, often depicted as a true crocodile or a man with crocodile head. He is a vicious, savage and wild god, wild as an animal but in the same time has soft sides, like protecting his child and treat them gently by transporting the young ones inside his jaw, among his sharp pointy teeth. Reflect the love of god to his worshiper.  People of ancient Egypt especially on Faiyum region worship and rely on him for protecting them especially from the danger of the Nile river. There are many Sobek temple and crocodile mummies backed up that theory. If I'd go to Egypt tour I'll search that area. In one era, Sobek also fused with Horus as a Sobek-Ra, a solar deity in the New Kingdom (1550—1069 BCE). There are already 3 god and goddess available in the collection that you can find here, there are : Horus, Anubis and Bastet.

CCTV Camera Papercraft That Really Working

E-mail Print

This was submitted by Louis Barreau from France. He modify the existing Paper Replika CCTV camera papercraft into a real working web camera. Louis used his old webcam and stripped off the casing and put the PCB along with the camera just behind the infra red LED part on the CCTV camera model. Now his webcam looks like a CCTV camera and he put it on his cabinet. The model itself has the capability of rotate-able horizontally and tilt, so the webcam angle can be positioned as needed. With long enough cable it also can be function as a security camera for your room in the house. Speaking about house, now I am working on a traditional Betawi house free papercraft model and a local commissioned papercraft project.

Optimus Prime Age of Extinction Papercraft - Head

E-mail Print

The new Optimus Prime in Transformers 4 movie is completely a different prime from the other sequels. Transformers 1-2 were with the same design, and then a bit different seen in Transformers 3, but the Prime in Transformers 4 looks kind of tribal and a lot cooler in my opinion. From the poll result in Paper Replika Facebook group they are many fans who loved to see the new Optimus Prime in papercraft. This time I would not make as complicated as the previous big Optimus, I will make it about half that size, about 70 cm in height. I also reduce the complexity from hard to medium, but I will still maintaining the detailed looks that Optimus Prime has. As usual this paper model series will be released part by part, I plan to finish all of it in about 2-3 months. The first part is this head. The head itself when completed will have about 8 cm in height. There will be blank template available soon.

America has "The Red tails" Mustang in World War II, We have "The Red Beak" Mustang or "Cocor Merah" in translation. While Red Tails is a nickname for P-51D Mustang that belong to USAAF 332d Fighter Group or Tuskegee in 1944, Red Beak is also a nickname for ourAir Force (AURI) Mustang in 1950s. AURI got them from The Kingdom of the Netherlands, but the irony they also used to fight off the Dutch from us in later confrontation in mid 1950s. The Mustang still used by the AURI for various military operation until they were grounded in early 1970s because of the aircraft are getting old and lack of spare parts support.  This paper model template was recolored by Dani Hamdani, model on the photos were built by him.
