Tukul Arwana - Comedian Paper Craft

E-mail Print

This paper craft template was specially designed for Mr. Tukul Arwana the host of "Bukan Empat Mata" on Trans-7 television talk-show. Last week I had guests from Trans-7 crew who covered about paper model, paper crafting  hobby at my house. There are also friends who accompanied me from Perikertas (Peri) on that interview. As you can see on the photo below, Reza Rauf Raphanus, a Paper Replika store admin and also a Perikertas event manager interviewed by Marcella Lumowa, she is a co-host at that television show. I also interviewed on that day as a paper craft designer, but as usual I wore my scout trooper armor and helmet :p. So I'm not really sure that scene will be aired, but if it does, it would be super cool :p. This template is quite simple, with only 3 sheets of paper you can build this paper craft.

Berlin Golden Hat Paper Model

E-mail Print

Berlin Golden Hat is an ancient artefact found in Southern Germany.  It is made of a thin gold sheet and according to historian it was made in Bronze Age 3000 years ago,  1000 BC. Study shows the symbols or patterns around the hat are some sort of calendars, both solar and lunar calendar. This is one of four gold hat or cone which found in Europe. It is now in the Neues Museum in Berlin. I first found out about this from watching a tv show called Museum Secret in BBC Knowledge channel. This is my first paper model template in 2014, to fill the ancient history category.

I want to look back Paper Replika in 2013, I kind of  regret I didn't as productive as in 2012. I admit, I was a bit disoriented. There's a time when Paper Replika has new template design every week, but it was not happening in 2013. So here is my resolution, I will put more time and more focus on paper model in 2014. 2014, I like the sound of it. Happy New Year to you all.

King Tiger (Tiger II) Tank Paper Model

E-mail Print

This very nice tank paper model template was submitted by our Korean friend, Kim.  Kim presented a model of one of the famous tanks in world war II era, a German tank called King Tiger by the Allied or Königstiger by the Germans. It also called Tiger II, because it is an improvement from the formidable design of the legendary Tiger tank (Tiger I). King Tiger is bigger and stronger than Tiger I, it uses slope side armor on its turret like the Panther tank used which made it even more untouchable than Tiger I. The official name for this tank is Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B.

This tank was short-lived, only 1 year in combat service (1944-1945), it was involved in the biggest tank battle of WWII, the "Battle of the Bulge" in winter 1944. The template consists of 7 patterns with 2 pages of assembly instructions included inside. The original template size is 25 MB, it's too big compare to Paper Replika template file's size, so I have to compress the file in just 2,5 Mb. It was designed by paperhino and gigaia and was build by Superdunk. They are all a member of paper model club, HardCraft. You can find them on their hangout forum : HARDCRAFT.

Tree House : Watcher Type

E-mail Print

Back to building model again. Since I was a kid, I always dream to have a tree house. I like to climb trees back then. I would build one now if I have a tree in my backyard, but sadly there is not one big tree there, even more sadly I don't have a backyard in my house, lol. I like to see a big  tree, especially the one with small leaves, and I like to imagine if there is a tree house up there, would be so cool. I recently watch a TV program titled "Tree House Master" on Discovery World channel. I love that show and then I try to make 1:100 miniature, but exclude the tree, just the house. So here it is a simple but quite tiny template. It has only 1 page of pattern.
