|Iron Man War Machine Template Design Progress Documentation (Photos)|
With this post I want to share progress images when I was designing a paper model template for pose-able 1/6 scale Iron Man War Machine. I started this project on 23 January 2012 and finished all 3 parts on 26 April 2012, so I complete this project in about 3 months. I started with collecting photos from the movie and photos from 1/6 figurine on internet. I split this model releases in 3 parts, part one were head and torso. Part two were weapon and both arms and the last were waist, hip and both legs. I use 3D Studio Max 7 to make the 3d model and unfold the model with Pepakura Designer.
I use this photo as a blueprint for modeling the shape of War Machine.
I started modelling process with shaping the head and torso in rough 3d shape.
Gatling gun added to get the feel of this figurine.
Detailing the back part, with head still untouched.
Shaping the head
Head was already taking its shape.
I got an idea to add face inside the face plate and also made a tutorial on how to replace the texture with your own face.
