This time I'm trying something new, making an RC superyacht with depron or foamboard. This yacht model is quite big, about 160 cm or 63 inches length and 11 inches width. Because it made out of foam material, it needs about 3 kg ballast weight to fill the water ballast tanks. At first I was trying to utilize 2 broken servo as its power plant, but abandoned because one of the motor have lower speed than the other. I ended up using inrunner brushless motor with 50A boat ESC. I only use 9 gram plastic servo to drive the rudder. This model really came to life after adding interior details and LED lights. Why I'm using foam board, because I'm a lazy person, I imagine how hard and long hours to cut that plywood, sand it, add putty and sand it again, thanks, maybe next time. If you like this project maybe I will build again another yacht but with 3D printer.
